Pennsylvania Department of Corrections, et Al., Petitioners v. Ronald R. Yeskey: On Writ of Certiorari to the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit [Syllabus and Opinion of the Court]

In this case before the U.S. Supreme Court, a prisoner had contended that his rights under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990 were violated when he was denied acceptance into a boot camp program based on his medical history of hypertension, and that state prisons fall within Title II's definition of "public entity." The Supreme Court held that the text of Title II of the ADA does indeed extend to state prison inmates. Accession Number: 014557
