The Federal Prison Industries (FPI) delivery performance showed that eight of the twelve months in fiscal year 1997 had better on-time delivery than the same months in fiscal year 1996, although it failed to meet its goal of 90 percent on-time delivery in fiscal year 1997. There was also wide variation in FPI performance by customer agency and some variation by product category. This report examines the reasons for these variations and makes recommendations for improvement. Accession Number: 014625
