Community Corrections Facilities Outcome Study

How well community corrections facilities (CCFs) modify criminal behavior through the programs and services they provide is the purpose of this study. The average completion rate was 74.6%. Programs with work release components had higher rates for absconding. The average length for successful completion of the CCF programs was 4.9 months. Overall, 76.4% of the residents who successfully completed the program did not get a new arrest during the first two years after they were discharged. 69.6% of this same group did not get revoked during this time period. The state realized a savings of 38.8% of the cost of revocation and incarceration for all offenders who completed a CCF program. Accession Number: 015246
