Hepatitis C & Incarcerated Populations: The Next Wave for Correctional Health Initiatives

Hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection rates in inmate populations range from 20-40%, while the rate for the general U.S. population is 2%. Issues surrounding HCV in correctional facilities, challenges to intervention, and ways in which some agencies are dealing with HCV are addressed.
