Enforcing Community Penalties: The Relationship Between Enforcement and Reconviction

The effect of enforcement (a series of warning letters ending with breach proceedings) upon reconviction rates is investigated. Topics addressed include: key points; Offender Group Reconviction Score (OGRS); results; separating factors that affect reconviction; the impact of enforcement on reconviction; the effect of number of absences; the effect of number of absences and levels of predicted risk; breach and reconviction; enforcement and gender; and conclusions.
