The Automated Visitor Registration System II (AVR II) for prisoner visitor registration is described. AVR II is a component within the Integrated Control System (ICRS) managed by control room staff. Photographic biometric handscans of all visitors 12 years and older are stored in the system and utilized upon subsequent visits. Additional aspects of this system, such as identification methodology and implementation stages are also explained.
