An Assessment of Four Substance Abuse Treatment Programs

Results from an evaluation of Colorado's Purpose 3 (Therapeutic Communities) which falls under the Federal Purpose Area 13 (a funding source for offender substance abuse treatment programs) is provided. This report is divided into five sections: introduction; what works for drug and alchohol treatment; Colorado's N-SSAT (National Survey of Substance Abuse Treatment Services) results; overview of programs and outcomes for Boulder County Integrated Juvenile Substance Abuse Services, CrossPoint Enhanced and Intensive Outpatient Program, University of Colorado Health Services Center Marijuana Treatment Program for Adolescent Probationers, and Southern Ute-Ignacio Multi-Systemic Treatment Program; and summary.
