The Dynamic Factors Identification and Analysis (DFIA) Component of the Offender Intake Assessment (OIA) Process: A Meta-Analytic, Psychometric and Consultative Review

Results from a review of the continued effectiveness of the Dynamic Factor and Identification Analysis (DFIA) "to identify and prioritize those offender needs requiring correctional intervention" are provided (p. ii). Sections of this report in addition to an executive summary are: introduction; meta-analytic review; psychometric review -- the domains of employment, marital/family, associates/social interaction, substance abuse, community functioning, personal /emotional, attitude, and responsivity, and field responses; and discussion. Appendixes include: the current DFIA; recommended revisions to the DFIA (DFIA-R); and revised help messages, interview prompts, and program referral flags. Accession Number: 021803
