The application of community service learning (CSL) to the juvenile justice system is discussed. CSL is a "new community-service model [which] combines the principles and methods of school-based service learning and court-based, restorative justice and applies them to court-mandated community-service" (p. 5). This guide is divided into four parts: introduction; skill-building activities; CSL project options -- building your own or Done in a Day projects by offense; and additional resources.
